LIFTPILE AG
CONSOLIDATES – LIFTS – STRENGTHENS
Buildings and structures of all kinds with the patented LIFTPILE technology
LIFTPILE AG, based in Switzerland, offers innovative and sustainable solutions in the field of reinforcement and consolidation of buildings and structures of all kinds.
The company is part of the Nordwind Group and benefits from the in-depth expertise of its Italian parent company, which has been active throughout Europe since 1996.
The patented LIFTPILE technology – a significant advance in modern building renovation – was developed in 2015 as a result of the company’s constant striving for technological advancement.
Thanks to a targeted, safe and non-invasive procedure, LIFTPILE can also be used without invasive construction work and offers a 20-year guarantee.
Areas of application
Settlement of buildings
LIFTPILE technology enables the precise lifting and permanent stabilization of buildings affected by subsidence.
Typical signs of subsidence such as cracks in the walls, uneven floors or jammed doors and windows can thus be permanently remedied.

Areas of application
Foundation reinforcement and extensions
The LIFTPILE system is particularly suitable for reinforcing existing foundations during renovations, extensions or changes of use that involve an increase in static loads.
Increased structural security
The consolidation of foundations increases the stability of buildings and prevents and remedies subsidence and structural damage.
Modern technologies
LIFTPILE AG uses the latest innovations, such as the installation of press-in micropiles, to reinforce foundations effectively and in a targeted manner.
Customized solutions
Each measure is individually tailored to the specific conditions of the building and thus ensures precise and effective use.
Avoidance of disruptions
The processes used ensure that the disruption to ongoing building operations is kept to a minimum during the refurbishment.
Secure value and service life
Consolidating the foundations extends the useful life of buildings and preserves their value in the long term.
Guarantee
LIFTPILE AG offers a 20-year guarantee on the use of its innovative technology
How we work
Work phases

1 - Core drilling
The first phase of the intervention consists of drilling a core hole with a diameter of 64 mm into the foundation down to the ground below.
2 - Threaded rods for fastening the SmartPress system
At the side, next to the core hole, two further holes with a diameter of 26 mm are drilled for the threaded rods, without these penetrating the foundation completely, which serve as anchors in the next phase (pressing in the micropiles).

3 - Introduction of micropiles
In the next phase, the SmartPress system is positioned, which enables our MP60s to be pressed into the ground and simultaneously documents the load-bearing capacity of each individual pile installed.
The penetration depth depends on:
- of the planned load-bearing capacity of each micropile;
- reaching a load-bearing soil layer that can withstand the insertion pressure of the hydraulic piston (maximum load) for inserting the piles.
4- Increase
In the additional lifting phase, hydraulic jacks are connected to enable controlled lifting of the building by means of a mechanical process.
This sensitive process is continuously monitored by our specialized technicians using state-of-the-art, certified equipment.
The elevation achieved can even compensate for building slopes of over 100 cm.
It is then necessary to fill the resulting cavity with lightweight concrete, compacted spherical quartz or expanded polymers.

5- Anchoring to the pile head
In the final phase, the protruding threaded rods are milled down to ground level. A stressing anchor is then attached to the pile head (or a prestressing system, if provided). The final connection to the existing foundation is made by grouting with a special grouting mortar in accordance with DIN EN 1504-3, class R4.
Before and after
After the successful elevation, a reduction in the considerable separation gap between the elevated building and the neighboring building can be clearly seen. The height differences between the two buildings were evened out, returning the inclined building to its original position.

Perfect finish
Clean. Fast. Accessible.
At the end of each job, our team ensures a careful and clean handover. Our technicians work efficiently and take care to keep soiling to a minimum. This means that the property is immediately accessible.

how we work
Our workplaces
Roche in Riga ( LV )
Roche, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, commissioned our parent company to level its historic headquarters in Riga – designed by renowned architect Alexander Klinklavs .
The building, which was erected in 1932, had a subsidence of 59 cm. By using the patented LIFTPILE method, the original level of the building was completely restored.

Private residence – Central Switzerland
Significant signs of subsidence were detected in a detached house in central Switzerland. Cracks in the walls and visible leaning made renovation necessary.
After unsuccessful initial attempts with other renovation methods, the customer placed his trust in us.
Thanks to the patented LIFTPILE system, the foundation could be stabilized in a targeted manner and the building raised precisely – without interfering with the existing structure and while the building was still in use.

Solid construction
The private residence in a sunny location in Italy was lifted gently and precisely using the innovative LIFTPILE system. The system was installed from the outside to safely stabilize and lift the foundation. Thanks to LIFTPILE, the building was moved back to its original position efficiently, sustainably and without damaging the existing structure.

Conversion and extension of the residential building
In a residential building that was converted and extended, the additional loads had to be supported by the foundations. To make this measure possible, the new loads were absorbed with the LIFTPILE system and the foundation was specifically reinforced. This enabled the project to be implemented safely and the load-bearing capacity of the foundation to be verified.
